Most Men Buy Apparel At Traditional Retail Stores

You would think with all the tech-driven devices guys swarm tothe new Playstation Portable, pod-casting and plasma TVsthey would be all over Internet apparel shopping. But, as it turns out, they'?re still creatures of habit when it comes to purchasing clothes.
Via Cotton Inc. Now, why am I not suprised by this shocking revelation? Our computer displays have not progressed to such levels that they can display intricate design and tricky colors flawlessly. Also, a good percentage of people buy clothes after they try them on. Now, I don't have the numbers on how many do that; maybe it is a good idea for someone to make a study? That leaves us with standard sizes and color-safe items like t-shirts, caps etc. We already sell them online; the Google t-shirt, the Linux cap. It will be a long time before people start buying clothes online. I mean real apparel. That said, apparel companies can leverage the power of the web to tap into loyalty programs, branding and so on. I am discussing B2C here. But B2B business is another thing. Any idea how many of these apparel companies transact online with their suppliers?
