Adobe Framemaker Error Message: Duh!?

I encountered a weird error situation with Adobe FramMaker. Now, FM is not known for its usability, but this one deserves a place right at top on the error messages bloopers list.
The document was saved to a temporary file, but FrameMaker can't rename it to have the correct name. The newer version has an odd suffix.

(Click on image for bigger picture) Odd suffix? How am I supposed to fix this issue of not being able to save my changes? Huh?

The only thing I have done is to save the file with a different name, and then delete the origianl and then rename the new file to the correct name. I have done this with chapter files for a book. But now I have that error on the book file itself. FOr resaving the book file to a different name: be sure to save to the same folder. Then close frame to free up the old book file. When you save the book file with a new name, it will update the references to the TOC and IX files, thinking that those files are named according to the new name of the book file. Once you manually rename the new file back to what it is supposed to be, you will have to remove the TOC and IX files and add them again.
