Usability and the elections

For all the skeptics and the insolent software gurus that scoff at usability initiatives, here is a wake-up call: Voters with disabilities are up in arms and protesting in India: their complaint is no special measures were taken to make casting a vote easy for voters with disabilities. I don't know much about the electronic voting machines and their usability though. I hope they offer Braille support. Your thoughts?
