Youmint.com deletes my account finally

You signed up for youmint.com. Imported your contacts from gmail or Orkut and sent invites to your friends. Suddenly, your friends start screaming at you 'What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you sending the same youmint invite 10 times!' Shock laga?
I was stunned too when a few of my friends started mailing me inquiring why I was spamming them.

So I promptly wrote to all the mail ids listed in their 'contact us' page and asked them to delete my account; there is no option on youmint.com to delete your account. Somebody did call me from youmint and assured me that the spamming will stop. But it didn't. So I lost my patience and blogged about it. And, that post now comes up in the first results page on Google when you search for youmint.com or youmint.

:-) and their top boss one Mr. Ankush called and spoke to me. Today I received a mail from them saying that my a/c has been deleted. Ankush also promised to add to their FAQ list on 'how to delete my youmint account'

I'll have to admit that folks at youmint are quite serious about customer care but it'd have been better if only they had paid attention to design. That's another story.

P.S. youmint.com whois

Their FAQ is still useless as the way to delete account they have mentioned never works. I sent them mail twice but I never got any response nor my account is deleted till yet. I really don't appreciate them for publicizing my personal details.
I am sure many are mad about this situation. And soon I am blogging about it alwell.

I just had a decent conversation with the CEO of Youmint.com, Mr. Ankush Johar and would like to clarify a few things here. If you want to delete your Youmint.com account, simply email deleteaccount@youmint.com with your account details from your registered email address and they should remove your account details in around 48 hours. It takes them that long as they have to roll back a lot of account information and modify any sub-linked users who have signed up under you.

If after 48 hours you still find your account active or are still receiving emails from Youmint.com, you might do well to contact Mr. Ankush Johar himself at * abuse * @ * youmint.com *

It might be useful to CC your email to the following to expedite the deletion of your account:

sales @ youmint.com; support @ youmint.com;

I have removed his personal mobile number and other contact details from this post at his request as my problem was resolved and they appear committed to solving all such user issues at the earliest.

I have also been told that within the next 30 days, they will be revamping their website with a new build that focuses on user navigation and usability. Things should work better then. It's my recommendation though that you be selective about what websites you sign up for and how much information you release on the internet. Limit your digital footprint, it's for your own good in the future.

I have tried a lot to delete my Youmint account but the result is still null. Youmint FAQ panel says...
Q) How do I unsubscribe from YouMint?
A) You can unsubscribe from YouMint by logging on to YouMint and choosing the My Account option. You will see the option to delete your account there. Alternatively, you can send an email to DeleteAccount (AT) YouMint.com to unsubscribe.

but there is no any option to delete youmint account under the My Account option while user logged in his account...Youmint shouldn't provide this type od useles information

I tried with the same lots of times.. I think i should do the same as like you.. Posting 15 to comments about youmint, adding it to yahoo answers one blogpost.. that is sufficient. But if youmint provide the delete option for the accounts then it is good solution for avoiding bad reviews for their site.
