Jotheyali

Raja's gift to the Kannada people. A haunting love song. This is the love song of Karnataka. The bass work on it is, as usual, way ahead of its times. The string arrangement is classic Raja. Man I love this song. This song is the reason why I know a little Kannada now. Don't mind the ugly heroine but the hero, Shankar Nag is a legend. Remember Malgudi Days on TV? Yeah, he was the brains behind it.

Now, SPB and Janaki sang the song. Need I say more? Close your eyes and hit 'Play.'

There's a tamil version for this song too. In a very crappily made movie starring Mohan and Nalini called 'Nooravadhu Naal', the song is 'Vizhiyilae mani vizhiyilae'
