Ogilvy & Mather Homepage: Poor Color Choice

Ogilvy's homepage is drenched in bright red. Why is it a poor choice of color? Here is why: The operation of the eye is largely muscular and any excessive activity will tire it out. Exessive activity includes staring at bright red websites.

Hi Suman,

I agree with you that Ogilvy has created a visual havoc in their webpage by overusing a vibrant color, which is often used to express danger or unpleasant situations.
Sad, that happened from one of the most creative ad agencies in the world.
Big corporations like, Adobe, Oracle, Virgin, Ferrari, and Target have shown us how their corporate color - RED - can be used effectively.

P.S: Why don't you increase the frequency of your posts, we are really enjoying it.

Thanks,
Anoop
